I recently sold my high-end PC to manage some expenses, but now I'm looking to improve my current setup, which includes an Intel i7 4770 and an RX 580. I'm up for the challenge! However, I'm uncertain about the best place to start with upgrades. I've checked out some CPU and motherboard combos online, but I could use some guidance on which component to tackle first.

I’d recommend starting with the CPU! Most modern games are looking for at least 6 cores, and that DDR3 memory can really hold you back. If you're on a budget, a Ryzen 5 5600 paired with a used RX 5700 XT could be a solid option. If you can stretch your budget a bit, a new RX 6800 XT would work wonders too!
Thanks! I’ll be making a purchase mid-July when I get my paycheck. Definitely leaning towards a new CPU and possibly some combo deals!
