If you're looking for real performance gains, the Ryzen 5900X isn't going to help much with gaming. Instead, consider upgrading your GPU; that’ll have a bigger impact. Plus, if you decide to move to AM5 later, you can still use the new GPU you'd buy now.
For the games you're playing, the x3D processors like the 5700X3D or 5800X3D could be worth checking out, especially if you can find one for a fair price (around $150-180).
