What should I upgrade on my PC for better gaming performance?

I've got a prebuilt PC that I bought four years ago and I'm thinking about making some upgrades. My specs are an i5-10400F processor, 16GB of DDR4 2666MHz RAM, and a 3060 graphics card powered by a 650W PSU. I'm not really sure what motherboard I have. I started playing Arc Raiders recently and I'm averaging around 60-70 FPS. I'd love to boost my performance to at least 90 FPS. Any suggestions on what I should upgrade first?

Honestly, going from 70 FPS to 90 FPS might not feel like a huge jump, especially if you're using a 60Hz monitor. If you're aiming for smooth gameplay, you'd likely need to hit 120-144 FPS on a monitor that supports those refresh rates to really notice a difference. So, if your monitor can't keep up, it might be worth looking at that first instead!

I get what you're saying, but personally, I can tell the difference between 90 and 70 FPS. The gameplay just feels smoother at 90 FPS.

I actually have a 1440p 144Hz monitor, and noticing the difference in FPS really changes the experience!

You might want to try using HWiNFO64 while gaming. It'll let you check the CPU and GPU usage in real-time. If you see your GPU hitting close to 100% utilization while your CPU isn't, upgrading the GPU could definitely help increase your frame rates in games like Arc Raiders.

Upgrading your RAM could be a solid start! Since you mentioned your specs, increasing your RAM to 32GB might make a noticeable difference in gaming performance. After that, consider upgrading to an i7 for better overall performance.

Totally agree! Boosting RAM is an easy upgrade that can help a lot.
