What specs should I focus on upgrading for better gaming performance?

I've been noticing that the games I play are starting to lag a bit. For instance, I downloaded a mod for Minecraft recently, and it informed me that some of my PC specs were "insufficient." Since it's been a few years since I bought my PC (and it wasn't brand new then), I'm considering an upgrade. What specs should I prioritize upgrading? I'd appreciate any recommendations!

Here are my current specs:
- Storage: 1.82 TB
- Graphics Card: NVIDIA Geforce RTX 4070
- RAM: 32.0 GB
- Processor: Intel Core i7-14700KF (3.40 GHz)

Thanks for any guidance!

Honestly, your GPU is probably the biggest factor here. Although the RTX 4070 is a solid card, if you're still experiencing issues, there might be something else causing the slowdowns. Your other specs look pretty strong for gaming, but check if there's an underlying issue.

Could it be a software problem instead? Drivers and the game installation are worth checking out!

Make sure to find out if your RAM is DDR4 or DDR5. It could impact performance too! But honestly, your CPU is great for gaming and 32GB of RAM is more than enough for most games.

Totally agree! And more importantly, what resolution are you gaming on? That can seriously impact performance too.

If you want clearer insights into your hardware, tools like Speccy can be very helpful. You could also try running 3D Mark on Steam to assess your performance. If everything checks out, look for any background programs that might be impacting your gaming experience.

Your setup is powerful, but if you're looking for an upgrade, maybe consider a 5070ti or 5080—just check your budget. It’s odd a game would flag your specs as insufficient unless something’s off either with your hardware or installation.

Could be worth running some diagnostic tools to see how everything's performing, just to be sure!

Given your specs, it sounds like your PC is running well overall. The 32GB RAM and solid CPU mean you're set for the most part. Just verify what was reported as "insufficient"—there might be a software issue at play. Also, check your background processes.

Yeah, and don't forget to confirm your resolution settings! What are you playing at?
