What steps can I take to collect payments from clients who aren’t paying for Azure services?

Hey everyone, I'm an Azure CSP provider and I've got a few clients who have fallen behind on their payments. I'm looking for advice on what measures I can take to either restrict their services or cut them off entirely. I plan to consult with a legal expert soon, but I wanted to gather some thoughts from you all first. Thanks for your help!

You can start by switching off tenant access. Cutting off services like email, OneDrive, and the cloud can often motivate them to pay up quickly.

I wouldn’t recommend just turning everything off. You don’t know how they've set things up, and it might lead to data loss. It's safer to restrict access first and then discuss options when they’re ready to pay.

If you need to disable access, look into using Conditional Access policies. Block all access except for your IP so that you still have control without fully shutting them down.

Before doing anything, check with your legal team. You really don’t want to run into issues with the law. They’ll have the best advice on your options based on your location.

You could consider suspending their services temporarily. Microsoft allows you to remove clients after 90 days of non-payment, which gives you some leeway.

Where can I find more info about the 90-day rule?
