I've been using Microsoft Expression Web for 15 years to manage about 200 similar websites that I customize by location. They all rank on the first page of Google without paying for SEO services. Typically, I only update a PDF document on each site once a month, but now I'm facing a problem. I host my websites with Host Gator, and I suddenly started getting a "Could not open data connection to port xxxxx: Connection refused (425)" error. Nothing has changed on my end, and Host Gator says they haven't made any adjustments either. I'm looking for suggestions on how to resolve this issue. Ideally, I want an easier way to replace that PDF across all sites since doing it one by one through the CPanel is really tedious. Any help would be appreciated!

What specific port number are you trying to connect to? Knowing that could help in diagnosing the issue further.
You can try using telnet to connect to the address and port for the service hosted on Host Gator. If it shows "connection refused," that indicates an issue on their end. It seems like the server is potentially bugged and not allowing connections. Do you have shell access to your hosting account? That might give you more insight into the problem.
Thanks for the tip! I’ve been relying on the software for so long that I totally forgot to do some basic network troubleshooting. I'll give that a try.

It's a high random port that changes each time, like 53670 or 56679.
