Hey everyone, I dropped my iPhone 14 Pro in the bath for about half a second, and it was fully submerged. Fortunately, it seems to be working fine so far; the sound is good, and I even used some tones to help expel any water. I towel dried it immediately, but when I tried to plug it in after about half an hour, it wouldn't charge. Now, I've left it to dry. Has anyone else experienced this? Will my phone be okay? How long do you think it'll take for it to fully dry? I'm planning to check it before bed and then leave it drying overnight. Thanks for any advice!

I’ve had a similar experience, and my phone survived just fine! I left mine in rice for two days. If it doesn’t charge after drying, you might need to wait a while or consider taking it to a repair shop for inspection.
It's good that your phone appears to be working but be cautious! Water can still cause issues later, even if it seems fine now. I'd suggest leaving it to dry for at least 24 hours. Don't charge it or turn it on until you're sure it's completely dry inside. Hope it all works out!
Yeah, I've heard some people even put their phones in a bag of rice to help absorb moisture. Just an idea if you want to speed up the drying!
Totally agree! Air drying can be slow, and sometimes it’s best to let the pros handle it if it doesn’t come back to life.
