I accidentally installed an APK that I thought was the right version, but it turned out to be a mod for Telegram. After realizing my mistake, I deleted the app and checked the APK on VirusTotal, which flagged it for containing a trojan and some malware. However, my phone seems to be functioning normally, and the Samsung built-in virus scan didn't find any threats. Should I be concerned about this? What steps can I take to resolve this without having to factory reset my phone?

It sounds like you're in a bit of a tricky situation! If you didn't actually open the app after installing it, there's a good chance your phone might be okay. But since you did open it, there’s a chance that some malware could still be active. I'd suggest checking for any unusual behavior on your phone, like strange pop-ups or battery draining quickly. You might want to run a more thorough security app scan just to be safe.

Thanks for the advice! I’ll definitely do a deeper scan and keep an eye out for any strange activity.
