I discovered that my Microsoft account was hacked last night. The hacker was able to get past the two-step authentication, changed my email and password, and deleted any recovery information I had linked to the account—all within just two minutes. I've tried every Microsoft Account Recovery method I could find, but since they changed the email and any phone number associated with the account, I've had no luck. My dad was also connected to my account and managed to retrieve a Yahoo email address from it, but that hasn't helped either. Is there any way I can regain access?

This same situation has happened to my kids. I wish you luck, but honestly, Microsoft isn’t very helpful when it comes to account recovery. I ended up making new accounts and even had to repurchase games like Minecraft. It's super frustrating.
The best thing you can do is to get in touch with Microsoft support. They're the only ones who can truly help you regain access, although keep in mind they might not be very responsive. Also, if the hacker bypassed your two-factor authentication, it might mean that the device you used to access your account may have been compromised as well, and that could be a sign of a bigger issue.
I entered my email on a Discord server to get a code for joining, and then shortly after that I lost everything. Is that considered a 2FA bypass?
Yeah, 2FA can be compromised through various means, not just on your device.

Yikes! I guess the hacker really just wants my Minecraft account, which isn't the biggest concern for me. I'm just worried about what else I might have lost.
