What to Do If Your PC Got Soaked?

I had a bit of an emergency last night when a pipe burst and completely soaked my PC. It was probably wet for a couple of hours while still plugged in. I've flipped it upside down on a towel and have a fan gently blowing air into it. Is there any chance I can fix it, or is it a lost cause? What steps should I take to dry it out?

Honestly, it sounds like you might be in a tough spot. It's likely that the water damage is too severe. While some parts may survive, there's a good chance the computer won't work properly again, even if it does turn on later. Just keep your fingers crossed!

That’s rough! Is there anything specific you think I should try before giving up? Maybe clean it or something?

You could consider using 99% isopropyl alcohol to try and clean the components, but honestly, it might already be a lost cause. Be careful with it if you decide to go that route, though. Just drying it out now might not be enough.
