Hey everyone! I'm thinking about purchasing a PC from the marketplace and would love some tips on what to check and which tests I should perform on-site to avoid scams or future issues. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks a bunch!

When you're testing a PC, I recommend using tools like OCCT, CrystalDiskInfo, and FurMark. It's super important to verify that the components listed in the ad match what you're actually getting. Open up the case and inspect the hardware—note down the motherboard model, GPU model, and RAM sticks. You should also check the BIOS for the CPU details. If the ad says SSD, verify whether it's 2.5" or M.2 by checking the drive visibly or in BIOS. Make sure you're aiming for at least an AM4 or Intel 12th-14th generation processor; anything older than a 10th generation Intel chip isn't great. For GPUs, look for at least a 2000-3000 series Nvidia or 5000-6000 series AMD. Aim for a minimum of 16GB of RAM (2x8GB) and 500GB SSD as your primary storage.

Thanks a ton for the info! I realized I should have asked these questions earlier, as I bought a PC on a whim, thinking I could upgrade it later. Turns out, it's too outdated; I've got an i5-8400 and a GTX 1080.
