I recently purchased RAM that's supposed to run at 6400 MT/s, but when I check the task manager, it's only showing 4800 MT/s. I'm not sure what's going on. Is there something I need to do to fix this?

It's important to remember that the advertised speed of RAM is not guaranteed due to the silicon lottery. Your RAM should work at 6400 MT/s, but you really want to check that you've enabled XMP/EXPO. That's usually the key step. Also, don't forget, your motherboard and CPU need to support those speeds too!
You need to enable XMP in your BIOS. This is crucial for achieving the advertised speed of your RAM.
Make sure you've selected the 6400 MT/s profile in the BIOS settings. If you don't adjust it, it may default to a lower speed.
You probably need to enable XMP or EXPO in your BIOS. That's usually the first step to get your RAM running at its rated speed.

Thanks for the tip! I'll check my motherboard specs to see if it can handle it.
