I'm gearing up to build my first PC, and I'm wondering if I need any specific tools or equipment besides the actual parts. For example, will I need screwdrivers, screws, wrenches, or anything else? I've heard some say that the parts fit together 'like LEGOs', but how true is that?

Aside from a good screwdriver and common sense, you're pretty much set! Your case should supply all the screws you need. Just avoid using older HDDs unless you have a specific reason to. SSDs are just so much better nowadays!
For sure! No need to complicate things with outdated tech.
You might want to consider getting some wire cutters too, especially if you plan to manage those pesky zip ties. That'll make your life much easier. But otherwise, a screwdriver should cover your needs, as cases typically come with the screws you need, along with the PSU and motherboard. Just dive in and enjoy the build!
All you really need is a Phillips screwdriver! That's the main tool for assembling everything. Some people like to have a long screwdriver or one with a magnetic tip, but it's not essential. A bowl or tray for screws can be handy too, but if you're careful, you can do without it. And don't worry too much about an anti-static wrist strap unless you're taking everything apart totally. Just make sure to discharge any static by touching a grounded PSU if you’re concerned.
Great tip about the PSU! I always just touch it too before I start working.
Thanks for the advice! Good to know I don't need too much gear.
Definitely grab a #2 Phillips screwdriver, and it might be helpful to have a #0 for those tiny M.2 SSD screws if your motherboard doesn’t have tool-free latches. Most cases come with all the necessary screws, so you shouldn’t need to buy extra. Just keep common sense handy while building, and you’ll be fine!
Right! And I usually use zip ties for cable management, makes everything look nice.
Yeah, zip ties are great! I also heard Velcro straps work pretty well.
Yeah, SSDs are definitely the way to go. Thanks for the heads-up!
