What Upgrades Should I Consider for My Gaming PC?

I'm looking to upgrade my gaming setup to boost performance on games like Cyberpunk, RDR2, and Baldur's Gate, aiming for over 60 FPS with Ray Tracing at 1440p and 165Hz. My current specs are:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
- CPU Cooler: Deepcool GAMMAXX GT
- Motherboard: MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK
- Memory: Crucial Ballistix RGB 32 GB DDR4-3600
- Storage: Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB NVMe SSD
- GPU: Zotac GAMING AMP Holo GeForce RTX 3070
- Case: Corsair iCUE 4000X RGB ATX Mid Tower
- PSU: be quiet! Straight Power 11 650W 80+ Gold

I have a budget of around 1300€. I'm considering upgrading the GPU, possibly to a 3090 Ti, and upgrading the CPU, maybe going for a Ryzen 7 5800X3D, but I'm wary about compatibility with my RAM. I also want to reason out whether I should upgrade my power supply alongside these changes, as my current GPU tends to be loud under load. Any advice on what to focus on first?

If you're going for a major GPU upgrade, I'd recommend looking into a good power supply as well. The RTX 3090 Ti needs solid wattage. The be quiet! Straight Power 11 you have is capable, but if you upgrade to something like an RTX 5080 in the future, a 750W PSU might give you more peace of mind. And remember, you've got time to shop around for the best prices on those harder-to-find CPUs!

I'll definitely keep an eye on PSU options too. Thanks for the heads-up!

I suggest focusing on a GPU upgrade for now. Your current setup should still handle many games well, but a stronger GPU like the RTX 3080 or 3090 Ti will significantly boost your performance, especially at 1440p. Upgrading the CPU can be more complicated since you'll need to consider AM4 versus AM5 compatibility, and the 5800X3D can be pricey and hard to find. It's also worth noting that at 1440p, the GPU plays a bigger role than the CPU.

That makes sense! I'm leaning towards the GPU upgrade first and then possibly looking for deals on CPUs later.
