What’s a Good $750-$800 PC Build for Gaming?

I'm trying to get a PC for $750-$800 this year, and I initially planned to just copy the parts my friend used. However, due to rising RAM prices, that build now exceeds $1000, which is way out of my budget. I'm looking for something that can handle popular games at 120-240 fps, while still being capable of running more demanding games at 60-100 fps. Additionally, I'd love to multitask with Discord, YouTube, and Minecraft all running at the same time. Any suggestions on what I can do?

Honestly, in this economy, sticking to that budget is tough. You might have to settle for some low-quality parts that won't last long. Waiting might be your best bet here.

Facebook Marketplace often has some solid options. You could score a decent AM4 build for around $800, maybe even get an entry-level AM5 if you’re lucky!

Consider an i5-12400F build with an Arc B580 motherboard and DDR4 RAM. That setup should give you decent performance! Good luck, I've been trying to put together a PC on a lower budget myself.

Building a complete setup with peripherals on that budget is going to be really challenging. You might have to reconsider some of your priorities.

Saving up is a good choice if you want the latest parts. Alternatively, check out the used market – you might find some good deals there!

If you want to stay within your budget, going for a prebuilt PC is probably the way to go. Just keep in mind that you likely won't hit your desired performance goals with that price range.

If there's a Microcenter nearby, check it out! I just got a decent PowerSpec model for $800 that includes a good CPU and RAM. Might be worth a look!
