I have an AMD 6800 XT GPU that hits a maximum of 75 degrees Celsius while gaming at full load. Typically, it runs around 65-70 degrees with a hotspot temperature peaking at about 80-85 degrees. The fans are spinning at around 1600-1800 RPM. I'm a bit confused because I've heard differing opinions about GPU temperatures. Some say 70 degrees is too high, while others claim it's optimal for performance. I want to make sure my GPU lasts as long as possible, so I'd like to know what temperatures are considered safe or normal for my setup.

Your temperatures look perfectly fine! Most modern GPUs, including the 6800 XT, can handle up to 110 degrees Celsius before throttling. At 75 degrees, you're in a good spot for gaming. If you want even cooler temps, you could ramp up your fan speeds a little, but there’s really no need unless you prefer it quieter.
Wow, I didn't know the thermal throttling was that high! I thought it was around 87C for most cards. My RTX 3070 Ti rarely exceeds 93C, even under heavy load.
