I'm tired of Windows 11 on my Asus Vivobook Pro OLED (14-inch, 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM, Intel i5 11th Gen) and I'm looking to switch to a Linux distribution. I don't want the complications of Arch Linux since I'm just starting out, but I'd love something easy to install that still allows for customization. Any recommendations? Thanks for your help! Also, apologies for any grammar mistakes; English isn't my first language!

You should definitely start with Linux Mint. It's super user-friendly and great for beginners. But honestly, I'm curious why you want to get rid of apps and files just for fun. Every OS has stuff you won’t use, and it generally doesn't hurt to let it be there.
Thanks for the suggestion! Do you have any recommendations for a specific desktop environment?
