I'm looking for recommendations on an end device management tool suitable for a hybrid environment. My main focus is to manage Windows, Mac, and Linux notebooks. I need a solution that ensures these devices stay up to date with their operating systems and installed applications. Additionally, I want to create a whitelist for apps so users can only download and install allowed applications. Please avoid recommending Intune.

Workspace ONE UEM and ManageEngine Endpoint Central are also solid options. They provide comprehensive management capabilities for a variety of devices.
Have you considered Endpoint Central Cloud? It covers everything from imaging to patching, software deployment, and even remote access. Plus, it uses one agent and one cloud portal for everything, which simplifies management.
I've been using PDQ Connect lately, and it's been great! They just added support for macOS, which works well. When combined with SimpleMDM, we have solid control over our Macs, and it does a fantastic job managing our Windows machines too.
