I'm on the hunt for a free backup tool for my Windows 11 system that can create a full system image. I want something that captures everything on my computer, including the operating system, installed applications, system settings, and personal files. The goal is to create a backup now and be able to restore everything later exactly as it was — like taking a complete snapshot. Any reliable recommendations?

Veeam is another solid choice! It's free for endpoint backup and has a great reputation for reliability. I've been using it for years, both personally and professionally. Just don’t forget to test your backups to ensure everything’s working properly.
Clonezilla is a good option too! It's a live USB tool that can handle full system backups effectively. It might have a bit of a learning curve, but it gets the job done!
You can use the built-in Backup and Restore feature in Windows. Just go to Control Panel, then System and Security, and you'll find it under Backup and Restore (Windows 7). It's straightforward to set up and works well for what you're describing. Plus, it comes with Windows, so there's no additional cost!
Another alternative is Macrium Reflect. The free version allows you to create images and save them to an external drive. Just a heads up though, you can’t schedule backups with the free version, but it's still really useful!
Don't overlook Windows Backup itself! A client of mine used it with dual USB drives for offsite backups. They had a fire and lost their server, but thanks to the backup, they were able to restore everything on a new server the very same day with minimal data loss. It’s surprisingly effective!
