I'm currently using a GTX 1660 Super, and I'm feeling that it's becoming outdated. I'm seeing some used RTX 3070s going for under €290, which seems like a tempting upgrade. My goal is to reach around 144fps at medium/high settings in competitive games and at least 60fps on ultra settings in new singleplayer titles. Right now, I'm gaming at 1080p but I plan to move to 1440p soon. I've been thinking that 8GB VRAM might not cut it anymore for modern games at higher resolutions. I've also heard about Intel's new B580 platform and watched a few videos, but I'm still on the fence. Meanwhile, I've heard that AMD GPUs, like the RX 6700 XT or RX 6800, might be offering better value than Nvidia right now, but I find AMD's naming schemes really confusing. I'm also curious about how important features like DLSS are, as I've heard AMD has some similar technology. I'm open to buying used GPUs from platforms like eBay as well.

Just go for the 9060 XT 16GB; in my opinion, it's the best option for your needs. The old RX 6000 series cards are decent, but they won't support fsr 4, which you might want for the future.
Honestly, check out something like r/hardwareswap, and if you can stretch your budget to €350, you'll find a ton of options. I spotted some used 3080s around that pricing. Just saying, it's a leap up!
Yes, it’s pretty similar! Just different community vibes there.
For 1440p, you really shouldn’t go for anything with less than 8GB VRAM. The RX 9060 XT 16GB could be great, and you might even find it for just €50 more than some of the used options. Totally worth considering!
I just got the RX 9060 XT 16GB and I can definitely recommend it! It's been a really good buy for my setup, especially for gaming at 1440p medium and 1080p ultra settings.
You should definitely look into getting a used RX 6800 or something similar if you're looking at that price point. You'll need more than 8GB for 1440p, trust me! There are quite a few RX 6800s available for around €300, and they're solid cards for gaming at higher resolutions.
I've seen some good options too! Would you say it's better to wait for the RX 9060 XT 16GB on Black Friday, or just grab a used RX 6800 now?
I've heard it's good but it lacks fsr 4 support, just a heads up!

Is r/hardwareswap similar to eBay? I’m not really savvy with Reddit.
