What’s the Best Graphics Card for 4K Gaming Right Now?

Hey everyone! My GPU just failed on me last night, and I haven't kept up with the hardware scene recently since I thought I wouldn't need to buy anything for a while. I mainly play World of Warcraft on a 4K monitor, and occasionally dive into games like Diablo and Expedition 33. Previously, I was using an AMD 7900 XTX 24GB, which performed well, except for its sudden death. Now I'm deciding whether to stick with the 7900 XTX 24GB or consider upgrading to the 9070 XT 16GB. Smooth 4K gameplay is really important for me. Here's my setup for reference: MSI B650-P Pro WIFI, AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 32GB G.Skill Flare DDR5-6000, Samsung 990 Pro 2TB M.2. Oh, and I'll be receiving $900 from the warranty on my dead card, so I'd like to stay around that price point. I'm open to suggestions for other cards as long as they fit my budget!

Just a heads up, you mentioned you have a warranty on your old card. Make sure it’s actually worth anything! Sometimes people end up with store credit rather than money back. It seems like your old card was good; sticking with that should be fine unless you’re really set on newer tech!

Yeah, I figured since I get store credit back, I should be able to find something decent with that. Thanks for the tip!

If you're looking at the 9070 XT, it's not a huge upgrade from the 7900 XTX, but it's definitely a solid replacement. The 5080 could be an option as well, though it's a bit pricier. If you're planning on playing ray tracing games, then the 5080 might be worth the extra cost.
