I'm looking to install a lightweight Linux distro on a USB drive with essential features like audio, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth support. My top three choices so far are WayDog Linux, MX-Linux Minimal Respin, and Mini OS Standard Edition. I'm considering a full install on the USB but have also heard about using the 'toram' setting. I have a solid XFCE distro on my laptop, but I want something more portable that won't wear out my USB too quickly. Any recommendations or thoughts on the distros I'm considering?

Damn Small Linux is actually a pretty solid option! It's lightweight and could work well for what you need.
If you're looking for ease, you might want to try Slax. It's straightforward—just unpack the ISO on your USB and run a script to make it bootable. Just a heads-up though, the interface isn't the prettiest, and it defaults to logging in as root without a password.

That sounds good, but I’d prefer something based on Debian 12 since I want to install Niri later on. Appreciate the suggestion though!
