I'm looking to learn about the Linux command line interface (CLI) and I'm considering using a Linux distribution that doesn't have a graphical user interface (GUI). I've heard suggestions to go with Arch Linux, which is known to be one of the harder distros. Is this a good choice, or are there other distros that might be better suited for my learning goals?

Arch can be a pretty steep learning curve if you’re just starting out. For a solid balance of usability and learning, you might want to try Zorin, which you can customize to look like macOS. If you still want to go without a GUI, consider starting with something like Debian and just skip the GUI installation. It’ll give you CLI practice without the headache.

Thanks for the tips! I was steered toward no GUI to focus more on learning Linux itself, but I see how starting with some visuals could help.
