What’s the Best Linux Distro for a Windows Power User?

I'm looking to transition from Windows and need some guidance on which Linux distribution would be best for someone like me who considers themselves a power user. I've been considering Linux Mint, Endeavour OS, and Cachy OS, but I'm not sure which one would suit me better. Additionally, I'd like to know about the best file systems—should I go for ext4, btrfs, or something else? I'm also curious about whether to use Limine or GRUB as the bootloader. What desktop environments do you recommend and why? For my main tasks, I'll be focusing on web browsing, gaming, and some IT-related tasks like using VMs and remote access. Lastly, I'd like to run Office 365 offline with all features on whichever distro I choose. Is it possible using Wine or another method?

I think a great way to figure out what you like is to use Ventoy to create a multi-Linux live USB. This lets you test out different distributions and their default desktop environments without committing to an installation. If you're unsure, settling on the default settings for any distro when you first install is a solid choice.

How do I choose between desktop environments or pre-installed applications?
