Hey everyone! I'm gearing up to build my first gaming PC and could use some help picking a motherboard for my 9800X3D chip. I've seen a few options floating around, but I want to make sure I choose the right one. Here are some I'm considering:

- ASRock B850 Riptide WiFi
- MSI MAG B850 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI
- ASRock B850 Steel Legend WiFi

I've heard mixed things about these options, and I'm particularly curious about issues related to BIOS on ASRock boards. I also think having WiFi is nice, even if I'm not sure I need it. The key feature I'm looking for in the motherboard is a PCI-E 5.0 x16 slot for my GPU. Honestly, I'm leaning towards the TOMAHAWK since I've heard good things about it. I know the ASUS ROG STRIX B850-E is top-notch, but that price has me shocked! Any recommendations?

The B850 Tomahawk is a great choice. Also, consider the Gigabyte B850 Gaming X WiFi 6E; it’s another solid motherboard that fits your needs. Plus, it has good reviews, and you can find a link to check it out [here](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/9xYfrH/gigabyte-b850-gaming-x-wifi6e-atx-am5-motherboard-b850-gaming-x-wifi6e) for more info!

Definitely steer clear of ASRock motherboards for a Zen 5 CPU. They’ve had a bad rep. The MSI TOMAHAWK is a solid option, and it should work well for your needs. If you’re looking to save a bit, the Gigabyte B850 Eagle WiFi is a good budget choice, but keep in mind it can only supply 150W to the CPU, so check if that works for you. Just make sure you check the power delivery and VRM cooling on whichever board you go with.

If you’re leaning toward MSI, check out the MSI X870 Gaming Plus WiFi. It’s a decent board and might offer some savings if you buy directly from them with the 9800X3D. Always good to look for deals!

Just go with the MSI if you want something reliable. ASRock can have attention issues with BIOS that might drive you up the wall. MSI seems to have a better community support, so that could help if you ever need assistance down the line.

Just a heads up, the MSI boards are solid, but always check for the latest BIOS updates before you start your build! You want to ensure you’re set with the latest features and support.
