I'm currently putting together a PC using a Ryzen 7 5700X and I'm trying to decide which NVIDIA GPU would be the best fit for 1080p gaming. My goal is to run most modern games on high or ultra settings and to have good performance that lasts a few years. Do you think a 4060 will suffice, or should I aim for something like the 4060 Ti or 4070 to get better performance? What do you all recommend for the best price-to-performance ratio at 1080p? Thanks in advance!

What’s your budget like? If it’s around 300 euros, that could provide some solid options for you!

Yeah, about 300 euros give or take.

For 1080p gaming, I'd say aim for a 4000 series GPU, especially if you want it to last a few years. Getting a card with around 16GB of VRAM like the 4060 would be beneficial. If you can find a good deal on the 4070 or even on the 9060 XT, that would be a great investment, too. Just make sure you’re not settling for anything less than 8GB of VRAM.

Definitely, the 9060 XT sounds like a solid future-proof option!

Honestly, if you can swing a 4070 or even the 4070 Super at a decent price, that would be a fantastic choice. It's getting harder to find those cards though, so keep an eye out for deals. Also, if you're considering going full AMD with the RX 7800 XT or 7900, those offer great value, but since you prefer NVIDIA, stick with their lineup.

If you're not planning to upgrade your CPU to an X3D in the near future, you'd do well with a 5070. But if you're thinking of upgrading to a newer platform later on, the 5070 Ti would give you more room to grow. Also, there's the RX 9070 XT, which is just a bit more than the 5070 and could set you up nicely for years—but I know you're leaning towards NVIDIA.
