Hey everyone! I recently reinstalled Windows and I'm a bit confused about the order in which I should install drivers. I've heard it might be best to install the latest drivers from my motherboard's website, but I'm not sure if I should do this before or after running Windows Updates. I know that Windows can install some drivers as optional updates, but those versions are often outdated compared to what the manufacturer offers. How do you all usually handle driver installations after setting up Windows? Thanks for any tips!

I usually go with installing the mainboard drivers first before running any Windows Updates. Honestly, I don't really trust Windows to pick the right drivers, especially when it comes to the GPU and other essential components like the WiFi and Bluetooth. If you stick with the manufacturer's drivers, you're often safer than relying solely on what Windows recommends.

Do you have a go-to list of which mainboard drivers you install first? I usually do the chipset driver, GPU driver, LAN, and audio before hitting Windows Update. I’m a bit on edge about the XMP settings for RAM too with my aging PC, so I'm curious what others do!
