What’s the Best SSD Setup for a New PC?

I'm in the process of building a new PC and need some advice on SSD options. Should I go for an 8TB 9100 Pro to store my operating system and games, or would it be better to have a smaller SSD for the OS and a separate one for games? What do you think?

SSD prices have been crazy lately! I would suggest getting a smaller SSD for the OS and games now. Once prices drop in the future, you can always add a larger drive. I snagged a 4TB SSD for around $260 last year, and it's now selling for $750!

Wow, 8TB is quite a lot! Most folks usually stick to around 2TB and just add more later if they need it. You can always upgrade down the line!

That's exactly what I did—started with a 2TB, filled it up, and added another with plenty of room left!

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend the 9100 Pro just for OS and gaming. It's a fantastic drive, but you won't see much difference compared to a Gen3 NVMe SSD. The main reason people use separate drives is for better organization, but for performance, a single good SSD should do the trick.

I was considering it mainly for the big storage capacity!
