I recently bought an HP OmniDesk desktop with an AMD Ryzen 7 8700G processor and 16GB of DDR5 memory. After trying it out, I found that the graphics were pixelated, and I had to lower the settings to run my games. I'm aiming to achieve medium settings for a better experience, but I'm not very tech-savvy. Should I upgrade my CPU, or is getting a better GPU a better option? I'm looking for something budget-friendly, ideally between $200 and $350. What do you suggest?

Definitely go for a GPU upgrade! You can find used options like the RX 6600 or the RX 7600 for a good price, or even a new RTX 5050 or Intel ARC B580, which should be around $300-$320. Those will give you a nice boost without breaking the bank.
You're currently using integrated graphics from the CPU, which explains the pixelation. If you want to get a dedicated GPU, make sure your power supply can handle it. The 3050 6GB could be a good choice, but anything more powerful may require a power supply upgrade if it's not compatible with your HP model.
Yeah, the power supply is only 280W. I appreciate the suggestions!
Upgrading the power supply on a prebuilt HP might be tough since they often use proprietary parts. It's best to check that first. If it's not feasible, consider returning the PC because it might limit your upgrade options.
Thanks for the heads-up! I'll look into that.

I checked out the Intel ARC B580, but it requires a 600W power supply, and my PC only has a 280W, so I'd need to consider that.
