What’s the Best Upgrade from an RTX 3060 without Changing My PSU?

I'm considering an upgrade from my RTX 3060, and I'm looking for options that won't require me to replace my current power supply unit (PSU). Ideally, I'd like to switch to an AMD card since I'm planning to move to Linux. Any recommendations? Thanks!

To give you good advice, it'd be helpful to know what PSU you're working with, and what your main use case is. If you're mostly gaming, the type of games matters too. The RX 9060 XT or RX 9070 XT could be great picks, but make sure to consider how much power you actually need!

Yeah, definitely share your PSU specs and CPU too. It seems like a 650W would handle most upgrades, but knowing more helps.

Also, what's your budget? That could really narrow down the best options!

If you want a smooth upgrade, the RX 9060 XT is a solid choice. It's a big enough leap from the 3060, offers good VRAM, costs around $350, and you won't need to swap your PSU. If you have a bit more to spend, the RX 9070 might be worth it, but keep in mind it could be pricier than the Nvidia alternatives.

If you can stretch your budget to a 9070 XT, you'll get a lot more performance! But just be careful about PSU limits.
