I'm looking to do a full factory reset on my MacBook Pro from 2017 and wipe all the data completely. I heard that newer Macs have an option in the Settings to erase all data, but I can't find that option on mine. Can anyone guide me through the correct process to reset everything on a 2017 model? Also, is there a way to perform this reset without using the Settings "Erase All Content" feature?

If you're looking for step-by-step guides, just search your specific Mac model online. There are plenty of articles detailing how to reset it completely.
Since your MacBook Pro doesn't have the T2 security chip, you'll need to go through recovery mode. Just restart your Mac while holding down Command (⌘) + R until the recovery screen appears. From there, you can erase your hard drive and reinstall macOS. For detailed steps, check out the support page [here](https://support.apple.com/en-us/102639). After erasing, just quit out of that and select the reinstall macOS option from the recovery menu.
Why avoid the "Erase All Content" option? You should use what's available! That said, since your model is older, it doesn’t have that feature, which is why you're not seeing it.
Another tip is to paste your title into a Google search. You’ll find lots of guides and videos to help with resetting your Mac.
