What’s the Best Way to Level Up My Programming Skills?

I'm in my last semester of college and have a basic understanding of C++ and SQL. I've managed to solve about 20 to 30 easy problems on LeetCode, but I'm feeling a bit lost on what to focus on next. Should I keep learning new technologies, or is it better to deepen my knowledge of what I already know?

Instead of just coding on LeetCode, why not build a project that excites you? It's a great way to challenge yourself and learn. If you're interested in hardware, you might want to explore Verilog or embedded systems, especially given your electronics background.

It's really a balance, to be honest! You can try both. Strengthening your existing skills is important, but exploring new ones can open up more opportunities. Just make sure you’re building something practical along the way.

Think about the direction you want for your career. If you're leaning towards IT, focusing on demand-driven skills could be beneficial. Just remember that LeetCode isn't always reflective of real projects in the industry.

Consider picking up Rust! It's becoming popular in industries like aerospace, where we're moving away from C/C++. Also, try doing Advent of Code challenges—they are generally more aligned with real-world problem solving than LeetCode.
