I'm looking for a way to mirror my phone's screen onto a laptop that is connected to a projector for a play I'm in. The catch is that there's no Wi-Fi available at the theater. I've tried using the Quickshare feature, but it isn't working as expected. I'm hoping for some suggestions on how to accomplish this screen sharing. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

After connecting your phone via HDMI, you could try using Windows + P to duplicate your display.
Bringing a portable router might be your best bet! It doesn't need internet, just set it up for local wireless access. That way, you can use various screen mirroring apps without the worries of reliability or battery drain.
AirDroid is a decent app you could try for screen mirroring if you can find a way to establish a connection.
You really need a Wi-Fi connection to make most mirroring apps work. Have you considered sharing Internet by using another phone as a hotspot?
One option is to record your phone's screen and then send the video to your laptop. However, I understand you might need to show it live, right?
