Hey everyone! I've got a ton of media—around 175GB of photos and videos stored in the Photos app on my iPhone. I'm looking for the best way to copy all of them to my Windows PC so that I can delete them from my iPhone and free up some space. Any suggestions?

If you're facing issues with the Photos app on Windows not recognizing your iPhone, try troubleshooting first. Make sure your iPhone is unlocked and properly connected. Sometimes, transferring in smaller batches, like 10 to 50 photos at a time, works better. You can also consider using third-party software like iMazing or CopyTrans Photo, which are great for bulk transfers.
To transfer your iPhone photos and videos to your Windows PC, connect your iPhone using a USB cable. Once connected, unlock your iPhone and tap 'Trust this computer' if you see that prompt. Then, on your PC, open File Explorer and go to My Computer. Find your iPhone listed there, open the Internal Storage and then the DCIM folder. Copy all the folders inside there to your PC. After confirming everything is backed up, you can delete the files from your iPhone.
The Windows Photos app should already be on your PC! Just connect your iPhone, open the app, and it should recognize your device. From there, you can select and copy all your media. There's also an option in the app to delete files from your iPhone after the transfer. Remember to double-check that all your files are backed up before deleting!
