I thought that Apple usually denies subscription requests if you don't have enough money in your account, but I'm confused. I recently started a 7-day free trial and canceled it within 30 minutes. However, a week later, I couldn't download anything because I was told I'd need to pay for the subscription. Apple support mentioned I could get a refund, but my request was denied. I then tried another app and noticed that even without funds, I could subscribe and download apps. The weird part is that after canceling or deleting the app, I still have to pay and request a refund; otherwise, I might miss the timeline. This seems really unsafe, especially for kids using it. Is this a new policy?

I get where you're coming from, but it seems like there's some confusion. You mention you signed up for a trial and canceled, which should mean you’re not charged. If you were charged after the trial ends, that could be an Apple mistake. Remember, deleting an app doesn’t cancel a subscription—you'll still get billed unless you formally cancel it!
It sounds like the issue you're facing is common. Apple often assumes that if you sign up for a subscription, you actually want it, and they usually give you a grace period to make the payment. If you don't pay eventually, they block your ability to download new apps. The best thing to do is to avoid signing up for subscriptions unless you're sure you can afford them.
