I recently bought an Apple Watch for $440.64 using my Apple Card and traded in my mint condition iPad Pro, which was valued at $440. I had to pay the full price for the watch upfront since the trade-in credit didn't go through right away. I just got an email confirming my trade-in, but it only shows a gift card for $44.28. I'm really confused and wondering if I'll get a refund for the remaining amount of the iPad trade-in value back to my Apple Card because it's hard to believe I'm only getting $44.28 for something worth $440!

Did you do your trade-in online or in-store? That might affect how the credits are processed. Sometimes, the full amount takes a bit longer to show up, especially for online trades.
