I'm looking to expand my storage for future games since HDDs aren't really recommended anymore. I've got an HDD for older games in my Steam library, and right now, I've got a 2TB SSD. However, with modern games taking up more space, I'm running low on storage fast. I'm considering getting either a 4TB NVMe SSD, which is priced at $320, or a 5TB SATA SSD for $290. I have enough slots for NVMe drives, but I don't have an extra heatsink available. Should I be worried about not having a heatsink for the NVMe?

Using an NVMe without a heatsink should be okay. Just keep in mind it might perform at lower efficiency during high IOPS without it.
NVMe drives are significantly faster than SATA SSDs—about ten times quicker! If you're looking for something future-proof, I'd definitely recommend going with the NVMe.

True, but I guess I'll just have to monitor the temperatures then.
