I'm looking for a Linux distribution that works right out of the box and is easy to maintain. I have a capable laptop that can handle Windows 11 well, and battery life is crucial for me. It would be great if the OS could update in the background automatically, similar to how Windows does it. I'm used to downloading .exe files from the internet, but I've heard that Linux works differently in this regard. I'd prefer a smooth installation process as I've had issues with drivers before. I really want to avoid spending a lot of time in the terminal as well.

You might want to check out Linux Mint! It’s super user-friendly for beginners, and most of the time it handles updates in the background without hassle. Plus, it has a good track record with drivers for Wi-Fi, so you might find it works with your laptop right away!
