I was told that a quota increase would take about 48 hours to process. However, I'm curious if that estimate is often accurate or if it usually happens faster than that?

There are a lot of variables that come into play here, but 48 hours does sound about right. In my case, the important ones took a bit longer, while the less critical requests were done in under an hour.

From my experience, 48 hours is pretty standard for processing a quota increase. But, I've had it completed in under 10 minutes before. It really depends on the specifics of your request.

My last two quota increases took around 2-3 hours in the ca-central-1 region. It seems like the time can vary widely based on different factors.

Keep an eye on the root account email for updates. Quotas you request just in case can often be done quicker, while those needing more info will take up to 48 hours or longer.
