What’s Up with This Random €2.99 Charge from Apple?

For the past three months, I've noticed a mysterious €2.99 charge on my account, but I can't figure out what it's for. I don't have any subscriptions, no upgrades to iCloud, and my AppleCare expired a while ago. The only purchase I ever made with Apple was this phone. My bank shows the transaction comes from "APPLE.COM/BILL(00207020)" and "ITUNES.COM." Is this charge related to something like Apple Pay? I've checked my subscriptions and only have one Apple account. Anyone else dealt with something like this?

Just a heads up, €2.99 is usually for 200GB of iCloud storage. Are you positive you didn't accidentally upgrade your plan? Sometimes these charges can slip under the radar if you're not checking regularly.

I totally get that, but I've checked all my subscriptions and there’s nothing related to that charge. I even have screenshots to confirm it!

You might want to reach out to Apple Support if you haven't already. They typically handle these issues, and it's best to contact them within 60 days of the charge for a better chance at a refund. If you're still confused, the Apple Support app is a good way to get help quickly.

Yeah, I know it’s not a huge amount, but it’s frustrating not knowing where it’s coming from. I checked my transaction history, and it’s like it doesn’t exist anywhere but on my bank statement.

This type of charge has popped up a lot, so you're definitely not alone in this. It might be worth checking if your payment info was compromised; someone else could be using your card for their iCloud subscription. Just a thought!
