When Will RAM Prices Go Down?

Hey everyone! I've noticed that RAM prices have been really high lately, and I'm curious if anyone has insights into when they might start to decline. I know it's probably not happening anytime soon, but do you think there could be a difference in price in about six months? I'm planning to build a PC around mid-2026, and if prices are just going to keep increasing, I might consider purchasing the RAM now and getting the rest of the components later. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like you’re following the trends well. Unfortunately, looking back, whenever RAM prices seem to drop, they usually bounce back really quick. My personal advice would be to keep an eye on seasonal sales or promotions, but I wouldn’t hold my breath for a substantial decrease anytime soon.

A lot of people are in the same boat as you right now. The supply chain for RAM is pretty tight, and unless there’s a significant change in production or demand, the costs are likely to stay up there for a while. I recommend planning for higher prices if you're waiting closer to 2026.

You're not alone in this! Just like with GPUs, RAM prices are influenced by many factors, including production issues and demand. Currently, there seems to be no sign of a significant drop in prices for a while. If you're anticipating needing the RAM for your build, it might be safer to snag it sooner.

Honestly, it’s tough to say when RAM prices will drop. A lot depends on the current market situation and production levels. Experts predict that due to various factors, including the ongoing demand from AI and limited production capacity, the prices could remain high at least until mid-2026. So, if you’re looking to build soon, it might be wise to buy your RAM now rather than wait.
