When’s the Best Time to Buy a GPU for the Best Value?

I'm looking to add a GPU to my existing build, which currently only has integrated graphics. I don't need it immediately, but I want to get the best value. Should I wait for Black Friday, wait for new releases, or just grab one now and move on? I'm considering options in the 4060/70 range.

I think the timing doesn’t matter as much anymore—it's more about monitoring the market as GPU releases can be erratic. Black Friday hasn't been promising for GPUs recently, so you may want to focus on shipping prices and trends.

If you want the best value, I'd recommend looking at the used market. New cards just don't go on sale much anymore. If you do go new, B580 around $250 is a decent hit! Otherwise, keep an eye out for bargains.

I've had luck finding deals at this time of year, just not on Black Friday. It seems companies often push out new models, wanting to clear their old stock, so you might spot some deals then.

January is often a good month for deals due to open box returns. Just be aware that the GPU market can be unpredictable; it's all about tracking releases and watching prices closely.

Honestly, the best move right now is just to buy one and be done with it. Discounts during big sales events aren't what they used to be, so you might have better luck pursuing flash sales or catching deals out of nowhere.
