I've got a Ryzen 5 3600 and just picked up a 5070ti after a late-night decision. I'm loving how it performs, especially playing Cyberpunk with path tracing, something I never thought I'd experience! However, I'm noticing that my CPU struggles in some games. I'd prefer to stick with my AM4 setup for now, since switching out the motherboard and RAM feels like too much hassle given I have 32GB of solid DDR4. So my main question is: would upgrading to a 5700X3D instead of a 5800X be a significant difference worth the extra $200? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Quick question—are you using a 1080p or 1440p monitor?
The 5700X3D is out of production, and the prices for what's left are inflated. Honestly, I wouldn't say it's worth the extra cash right now. Better to look elsewhere!
Right? You could sell your current CPU, motherboard, and RAM, and use that money to snag a CPU/mobo/RAM bundle from places like Newegg.
Exactly! Plus, the 5800X3D is going for around $700—way too high!
I totally relate! I was in a similar boat with my AM4 build and ran into issues recently. I upgraded my GPU a while back, but was still on the Ryzen 5 3600. After upgrading to a 5800X for $183, I'm now getting much better performance—around 110fps in newer games like Battlefield 6. Totally worth it for me, and I plan to stick with this setup for years to come.
Honestly, both the 5700X3D and 5800X3D are solid, but good luck finding them at a decent price. Have you considered a 5800X? It's a pretty good upgrade over your 3600 and can often be found for much less.

It's 1440p!
