When’s the Best Time to Buy or Build a PC Given Current RAM Prices?

I'm looking to buy or build a PC soon, and I initially aimed for June. However, I've noticed that RAM prices are really high right now. Does anyone have insights on when RAM prices might drop? Should I just go for a prebuilt option instead?

RAM prices are on the rise, and components like the new RTX 50 series are also increasing. Prebuilt PCs might actually be cheaper at the moment. Just watch for sales from retailers and consider upgrading parts down the line.

Totally agree! I was just searching for laptop RAM, and it's hard to find anything decent. Prices are wild!

If you can wait, it might be worth holding off until later. However, from what I'm seeing, prices could keep climbing this year. If you're ready to commit, better to act now or be prepared for significant delays.

Realistically, expect any price drops to be minor this year, especially for RAM. It’s not looking good until 2027 or beyond for real decreases. If you're flexible, consider used parts—it might save you some cash!

It seems unlikely that RAM prices will drop by June. Right now, going with a prebuilt PC might be your best bet since some still contain older RAM stock, which could save you some cash. Keep an eye out for sales!

Honestly, if you're looking for the best deal, a console might be a smarter choice right now. Otherwise, it might be a while before you see better prices on components.
