Hey everyone! I'm really excited because I'm about to build a brand new high-end PC! I'll be using my old SSD, which has Windows 10 on it, along with some old HDDs. I'm leaning towards doing a full reset of Windows, but I'm not sure of the best timing for that. Should I reset Windows after I finish building the new PC and boot it up for the first time? Or is it better to reset on my current setup before transferring the drives? My concern with the first option is that if something goes wrong during the reset, it could mess up my new build. But with the second option, I worry that the old drivers will still be on there when I move everything over. Would using DDU make things smoother? What do you guys think? Thanks in advance for your insights!

Forget about resetting Windows on your old PC. Just move your drives over and do a clean install on the new one. It'll wipe out any old files and drivers that could cause conflicts. It’s always better to start fresh, especially with new hardware.
I'd recommend doing a fresh install on the new PC. Changing motherboards can lead to some unexpected issues if you just transfer the old Windows installation. Starting from scratch usually leads to better stability and performance, especially if it's a completely different hardware setup.

Totally agree! Plus, you can ensure that you have the latest drivers for all your new components right from the get-go. It'll save you a lot of headaches down the road.
