I recently purchased a Seasonic GM-500 semi-modular power supply, and it requires both PCIE and SATA cables. Unfortunately, I didn't do my research beforehand, and now I'm struggling to find where to buy compatible cables at a reasonable price. So far, the prices I've seen for replacement cables are higher than what I paid for the PSU itself! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I totally get your frustration! Semi-modular PSUs like yours typically come with all necessary cables. Prices for new PSUs are pretty competitive right now—you can find solid models for about $50-$60, and they even go down to $40 on sale. If you're stuck, it might be worth considering just upgrading to a complete unit.
Check directly with Seasonic's customer service. They might help you out especially if you can provide a receipt. It’s worth a shot! Also, be aware that some brands like Corsair have markings on their cables to indicate compatibility; if you find any of those, they might fit.
Unfortunately, I found that no modular cables are included with mine—just the integrated options. So, I'm in the same boat and yes, it's a pain trying to hunt down separate cables.
Your PSU should've come with two PCIe cables and two SATA cables included right out of the box. Did you buy it second-hand? Sometimes used units can be missing those extras. If it really didn't come with them, you might want to reach out to Seasonic directly for help; they might send you the cables for free if you can provide proof of purchase.

Yeah, I bought it used and didn’t expect the hassle of sourcing the cables. Kinda regretting it now!
