I'm considering CPU bundles from Micro Center and have narrowed it down to two options. Both come with the same motherboard and RAM, so I'm mainly focused on the CPUs. There's a bundle with the 7800x3d for $550 and another with the 7600x3d for $400. I'm planning to pair whichever CPU I choose with an RTX 3070 until I can upgrade my GPU in about six months. Should I spend the extra $150 on the 7800x3d knowing it's a more powerful option for future upgrades, or should I go with the 7600x3d and save the cash for other components later on?

Consider your entire build budget. If you can afford the extra $150 without cutting corners elsewhere, I’d recommend the 7800x3d. It’s tricky to sell the 7600x3d later, and you might end up spending that amount again just to upgrade if you decide to sell it.
I'd say go for the 7800x3d! It definitely has better value in the long run. The 7600x3d is capable, but if you're thinking about an upgrade later, you won’t regret having the higher-end CPU from the start.
If you've got the $150 to spare, just go for the 7800x3d. It'll keep you set for a good while, and you won’t need to think about upgrading it for a long time.
