I'm trying to decide between two different setups for 1080p online gaming and some Blender work. The first option is the 9070 XT GPU paired with the 7800 X3D CPU, which is the cheaper choice. The second option is the 5070 Ti GPU with the 9800 X3D CPU, but it's more expensive. I'm looking for some advice on which combo would be better.

I’m no expert, but that setup sounds like overkill for 1080p. You might not need all that power for just that resolution. Both setups can handle 1440p without breaking a sweat, though!
Honestly, if you're willing to spend the extra cash, the combo with the 5070 Ti and 9800 X3D is definitely the way to go. You'll get better performance overall with those parts, especially in demanding situations.
Yeah, but I'm a bit worried about potential bottlenecking and if it's just too powerful for 1080p gaming.
You might want to think about how you’re planning to use Blender. The Nvidia card (5070 Ti) is known for faster rendering times. Plus, if you want something that lasts, both the 5070 Ti and 9070 XT can handle 1440p games for a long time. I’m currently running a 2080 at 1080p and it's solid for all the new games, and the 5070 Ti is way more powerful.
Thinking about getting a 1440p monitor too, maybe that would make sense!
I really want to avoid upgrading or replacing my PC for at least three years, so I'm trying to be smart about this.
