I'm considering two CPU and GPU combos that are priced the same: the RX 9070 XT paired with a Ryzen 7700, or an RTX 5070 with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D. Which setup do you think would give me better performance, especially for gaming? Any thoughts on how each combo performs at different resolutions?

I'd recommend sticking with the RX 9070 XT and Ryzen 7700, especially if you're gaming at 1440p. It generally performs better in that resolution. If the Ryzen 5 9600X is cheaper, it could be a solid alternative without sacrificing too much performance.
That sounds good! I'm currently gaming at 1080p and doing some flight simulator stuff. I've heard the X3D CPUs excel in that, but I'm wondering if the 9070 XT's 16GB of VRAM might be more beneficial for MSFS.
