I'm trying to decide between the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB and the RTX 5070 Ti 16GB for my setup. I live in a tropical area where temperatures usually hover around 30–34°C, and I don't have air conditioning. This means I can't handle any GPU that runs above 60°C or exceeds 200W of power usage, as it makes my room unbearably hot. The 5060 Ti has a TDP of 180W, but if I limit the 5070 Ti to 180W as well, will it still perform better, or will it be limited to the point that it's comparable to the 5060 Ti? I'd appreciate any insights!

The 50 series may not be a huge upgrade over the 40 series at stock, but they shine when you overclock or undervolt. One thing to note is that the 5070 Ti does consume more power at idle compared to other cards, so just keep an eye on that when deciding.
Even if you limit the 5070 Ti to 180W, it should still offer better performance overall. Undervolting can help manage temperatures while maintaining good FPS.
Right? It’s impressive that you can undervolt from 300W to around 165W without losing much performance!
I’d recommend going for the 5070 Ti. If you undervolt it and synchronize it with your refresh rate, you should keep things nice and cool. I’ve managed to undervolt my 3070, and despite the lower power limit, I still get great FPS in games like Overwatch.

True! My 4070 Ti sits at roughly 9W idling with stock settings. Lower wattage is definitely a plus!
